John Boyd comes as a member of the Saskatoon Potter’s Guild with a BFA from Guilford College, Greensboro, North Carolina and also a year spent mentored by Tony Clennell and Bruce Cochrane at Sheridan College of Art and Design, Oakville, Ontario. His background also includes teaching, designing, and building wood fired kilns. As such, he is no stranger to ash as a glaze and has a wealth of knowledge to share. John has also lectured on the “History of Asian Ceramics�. His work has received Juror’s First Choice and Purchase Awards, as well as many Honorable Mentions.
