Each Spring the Guild holds a juried exhibition for its members.
The 2026 Exhibition theme was 'Playful Connections'.
Clay bridges many dualities, often balancing between wet and dry, heavy and delicate, function and aesthetic form. Guided by the basic elements and principles of design, potters must navigate these intersections with curiosity.
The artist playfully pushes boundaries of connection to reveal dynamic relationships between form and space; presence and absence; stillness and rhythm.
This exhibition celebrates the joy, tensions and harmony from imaginative explorations of playful connections.
The juror was Maia Stark. Based in Saskatoon, Maia, an Exhibition Coordinator at Saskatchewan Craft Council, is a multi-media artist with practices in both ceramics and painting. She has had many solo and group exhibitions. Maia is the recipient of the 50th Anniversary Award for the Outstanding Entry in Dimensions 2025. Maia's solo exhibition, Strange Dark Memory, MacKenzie Art Gallery, Regina, (2026) illustrates her talents both in ceramics and painting.
Best Overall, Functional and Decorative Awards were sponsored by T&T TREE Pottery. Thank you.

Clay, raku glazes

Who knows ‘why’ … why is life so hard sometimes? Why is it so hard to reach out, take a chance, try something new, touch a feeling, move forward … why? What is the why behind the work we make – do we need to know or is the action, the feeling enough?
